NOT ONLY ARE THE POOR GETTING POORER, BUT MORE AND MORE NJ RESIDENTS ARE JOINING THEIR RANKS.
It has been estimated that NJ’s Poverty Level under democratic leadership is the highest in 52 years. When you adjust NJ’s poverty levels for the cost of living, NJ rivals Mississippi. This is despite the fact that Welfare recipients are already “earning” (being give by tax payers) an average of $42,000 per …year adjusted equivalent of pre-tax income – for doing nothing but going on the dole. The welfare state has failed those who need it most, frequently due to programs which serve no other purpose but to line the pockets of the political elite, like Stephen Sweeney.
If you listen to NJ democrats, they will tout the great Obama Economic recovery since 2007, but the actual poverty numbers in NJ tell a very different reality. We are in a vicious cycle of more misallocated taxpayer dollars ending up in dirty politician pockets. The “war on poverty” is a massive failure, with the NJ dems as the poster children.
New Jersey can’t afford decades more of failed economic and political policies.
